Brad Keselowski – Starting from the 13th spot today, Brad is really fast this weekend. He was fastest in the first practice yesterday in 10 lap averages and in happy hour had the fastest time, 3rd in 10 lap averages, and from the graphic the broadcast showed he was fastest in 20 lap averages. I think Brad will be a great play today with dominator potential.
Kyle Busch – A tough 2nd place finish yesterday in the Xfinity Series race after he dominated the entire time, Kyle looks to rebound today. Win #200 headlines are bouncing around everywhere and he is the talk of the sport right now. Kyle had decent speed yesterday in Happy Hour, coming in 6th on the 10 lap average. Cant count out rowdy when it comes to racing at Auto Club. Deploy with confidence.
Joey Logano – You might be thinking what about Truex or Larson in this spot? Well you can do that but if you are looking for a GPP play that will probably be lower owned than those 2, Joey is your guy. The Team Penske cars have been strong on this west coast swing. So if you are in the market for a GPP “flier” strongly consider Logano.
Martin Truex Jr – Truex has slowly sneaking up on his first win of 2019 with his new team. I really think today he has a good shot at that today. He has been really good here in the past and he seems to have unloaded pretty good and has pretty good long run speed. He starts from the back so the position differential points are also attractive for Truex today as well, a more chalky play but if he finishes inside the top 5 he might be a must own driver.
Ryan Blaney – No denying the speed he has this weekend, and if he can put the entire race together and not have problems like he has the previous few weeks, this is my darkhorse pick to win the race today. Ryan has had all around speed all weekend. He was 5th on the board with time in happy hour, 2nd in 10 lap average, and 3rd on 20 lap average. I would strongly suggest using Blaney today.
Kurt Busch – 3 straight top 10 finishes and based on how he has been running this weekend I look for him to make it 4 in a row. Him and Jimmie Johnson seem to be the fastest Chevys on the long run. He is starting 21st today so this will be a good opportunity for position differential.
Alex Bowman – Last week Bowman bit me due to his tire failures. I am going back to the well this week and rolling with him again. He starts outside of the top 20 and has been pretty solid so far this weekend. He has potential to provide great value at $7,000 on DK and $8,000 on FD with a lot of position differential opportunity.
